LOVE AND MONEY:AN AGELESS BATTLE

"Not when I am alive, absolutely not. I can't let you marry my son. You even have the guts to tell me about your pregnancy. Who cares! I know my son is not responsible for it. He can't impregnate a wretch. You want him to be the father because he is rich. Gold digger, harlot!!!.  Collins's mother said before slapping her.
  His mother had told him to end his relationship with Juliet. She laid emphasis on the fact that her parents are paupers. They will always work for the rich but will never have a taste of wealth. He would have left Juliet if not for their love and unborn child. He wanted the maltreatment from his mother to Juliet to end. There is nothing wrong with the rich marrying the poor. At least she is beautiful without money. To these influential people, beauty without money is sheer ugliness.
   Collins took a drastic step by having a secret wedding with Juliet, of course Juliet's parents were the only one to attend the wedding. His mother's was not concern was not a part of it. She cared about fame. He bought a house in her name, made her comfortable with his love, attention. Their love was an enviable one. A source of inspiration to many youths.
   Three months later, Collins had to travel to London for a six month course leaving Juliet with her parents. She wanted to come with him but her delivery was near. A week after his departure, Juliet delivered a baby girl. After her birth, she was weak. It was obvious that she would die soon. She kept telling her parents that she needed rest. She eventually gave up the ghost before her baby was brought to her.
  Her death made Collins unhappy for a long time. He mourned her for years. Collins mother used that opportunity to pay Juliet's parent for their loss. Can money bring the dead back to life?  They knew that their daughter died from frustration.
    Collins remained unmarried. He couldn't find another woman to replace Juliet. Juliet was the only woman who loved him without an eye on his money. Another woman would be a threat to him, his daughter and properties.
    The fact remains that water flows from higher places to lower places. This has always been the status quo. Even the Sun , Moon and Rain  stay in the sky, sending forth their warmth and blessings to the earth.
