14 Signs He’s The Guy You Should Be With Forever

Having your guy treat you right is seriously the best thing since sliced bread.

1. He loves you even when you are awful.

And ladies, can you be awful? . Just catch yourself around that “time of the month” or when you are hungry or when you are full of stress and anxiety. You can get super emotional, super angry, super short, and super rude. But he still loves you through it. He gives you grace. He knows that when you get in those moods it’s because there’s something wrong, so he tries to find out what it is. He doesn’t write you off. He helps you through it.

2. He makes an effort to form relationships with the people you love.

Your family is a huge part of your life, and your best friends are like sisters and brothers to you, so having him get to know everyone close to you was something you so badly wanted him to do. And he did it… and then some. He and your sister are so close it’s like you are the third wheel sometimes. You thank your lucky stars they are so close because your sister is like your other half, and the fact that he has formed a special bond with her makes you so unbelievably happy. If your dude makes time to get to know the people you love – like really know them – then you’ve locked down someone special.

3. He opens doors for you. 

Don’t get me wrong; you are an independent woman who can open her own doors, but having someone who is selfless enough to go out of his way to make it easier for you is a blessing. It’s nice every now and then to be treated like the princess you are( **major eye roll). But really – everyone should have a guy who isn’t too proud to do something nice like open a door for you every once in a while.

4. He brings you home food when you are having a bad day.

Food is the golden ticket for you. He even lets you eat his French fries after you tell him you don’t want any. You hit the jackpot with this guy.

5. He lets you have a voice.

You've dated guys who either don’t care what you have to say or will belittle you once you do say something, and it’s one of the worst feelings in the world. To think that your voice doesn’t matter in a relationship isn’t healthy, and it also isn’t right. He wants to know how you feel and what you think about things because he wants to know you. 

6. He knows that there’s always room for improvement in a relationship.

You've never met a guy more willing to work on your connection than him. Even when you are doing great, he knows that there’s always something you can be working on to improve your relationship. You discuss things you can work on and you also read books that go into detail about things couples can do to make their relationships better. He always wants to make sure your relationship is the best it can be.

7. He loves you in ways that are unnatural for him.

He has to go out of his way and do things that don’t come naturally to him to make you feel loved, and he does. He is so amazing in this way because you know how hard it is for you to love him the way he needs to be loved, and you know he goes out of his way to make you feel loved every day.

8. He always wants to know how your day went.

At the end of the day you always do highs and lows. You both exchange the high of your day and the low of your day. It’s one of the best parts of your day because sometimes you get so busy that you don’t really get to talk about how your day went, but when you do your highs and lows, it really makes sure you find out how each person’s day went.

9. He tells you he loves you every day.

There’s not a day that goes by where he forgets to tell you he loves you. And it never feels like a routine because he always tells you why he loves you that day, and it makes you feel so special.

10. He doesn’t keep anything a secret from you.

If a girl texts him or tries to hit on him, you’ll be the first to know because he’ll text you about it or tell you when you get to see. And you can admit that this gets annoying sometimes, but because he does this, you know that he wouldn’t keep anything bigger than these instances a secret from you. Because he is 100% honest with you, it makes trusting him so much easier.

11. He listens to you. 

You sure have girlfriends who can hint at their boyfriends for months that they want a certain purse or shirt or piece of jewelry, and when their birthday comes around all they get is a stinkin’ card. If you  tell him that you like a cute bathing suit, you can be sure that he will remember it for your next birthday. He listens to you and he remembers what you want him to remember – unless you ask him to run an errand for you or take the trash out… that’s a different story.

12. He still wants to get to know you after the time you’ve been together.

When you were getting to know each other, he would keep all the things he found out about you in his notepad on his phone: your favorite color, your favorite ice cream, your favorite movie, etc. He would then use these facts about you to randomly plan something nice for you like to you to the pool or to watch a movie. He worked his butt off to get to know you and make you feel special, and even after he knows almost everything about you, he still wants to get to know you. 

13. He tells you you're pretty even when you look like you just rolled out of bed.

We’ve all had those days. I think I have them more often than not, and even on those days he still tells you that you look cute. Even when you are in dirty sweats with 4-day-old hair, he tells you you're the prettiest girl in the world.

14. He makes you want to be a better person.

He is the sweetest, funniest, cutest, most welcoming and loving person you've ever met. He’s the kind of person that helps out someone he’s just met, will invite a stranger over for dinner, and will give the shirt off his back to someone in need. He lights up every room he walks into with his presence and he becomes friends with people in an instant. He is the most wonderful human being you've ever met, and he tries every day to be the best person he can be. And because of him, you am becoming the best version of yourself. And that’s probably the best thing he could ever do for you.
